Plagiarism Policy
The International Journal of Care and Hope Platform (IJCHP) upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and research ethics. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous plagiarism check to ensure originality and authenticity.
1. Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the unethical practice of using another person’s ideas, words, or work without proper acknowledgment. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Direct copying of text, figures, or data from other sources without citation.
- Paraphrasing or rewording another’s work without proper attribution.
- Self-plagiarism, which refers to reusing one’s previously published work without disclosure or permission.
- Submitting work that has been previously published elsewhere without appropriate referencing and approval.
2. Plagiarism Detection
IJCHP uses industry-standard plagiarism detection software (such as iThenticate or Turnitin) to screen all submissions before peer review. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 15% (excluding references, quotes, and common phrases) will be flagged for further review.
3. Consequences of Plagiarism
If plagiarism is detected at any stage—before or after publication—IJCHP will take the following actions based on the severity of the case:
- Minor Overlap (Less than 15%): The authors will be asked to revise and properly cite the sources.
- Moderate Plagiarism (15%–30%): The manuscript will be returned for major revision or rejected outright.
- Severe Plagiarism (Above 30%): The manuscript will be rejected immediately, and the authors may be blacklisted from future submissions. If plagiarism is found post-publication, the article will be retracted with a public notice on the journal’s website.
4. Responsibilities of Authors
- Ensure that their work is original and properly referenced.
- Obtain necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted materials.
- Clearly disclose any overlap with previously published work.
- Cooperate with the editorial team in case of any plagiarism-related queries.
IJCHP is committed to promoting ethical research and publication practices. Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to adhere to this policy to maintain the integrity of academic publishing.
